Hardwoods of Michigan is a sawmill and kiln-drying operation that produces some 2 million board feet of lumber per month. It utilizes such species as ash, cherry, hard and soft maple, hickory, poplar, red and white oak, and walnut. The company's products include boards ranging from 1 in. to 5 in. thick (specializing in cuts between 2 in. and 3 in.), grade lumber, timber, pallet stock, and steel mill blocking, as well as mulch, wood chips, sawdust, and shavings. Hardwoods of Michigan also owns Walker Lumber Company in Woodland, Pennsylvania. Its Tri County Logging unit purchases and harvests timber for the mill.
